Training confusion

Basically when i go to the training>individual menu it shows all the players with a green arrow basically saying they've improved, but when i click on players themselves on the attribute changing bit it says some of the attributes have gone down with a red arrow?
Really doesn't make sense

Yeah i've noticed this too. Am just guessing but i imagine that their training performance is judged by whatever role/attribute you have them working on so if some unrelated attributes drop a bit it is less important to their development. If you understand what im trying to say.

Happens to me a lot, I talk to them about it and then they get pissy "Well I think I've been working hard in training recently" their morale goes down blah blah.
