training to new position

can this be done more than once with the same player? I remember on past version u can train a plyer to a new position, but once he's mastered it, if you train him to something different, he will do it, but lose that other position u trained him to 1st.

is this still the case?

But my understanding is, you must deploy him on diff position, back and forth. If not, he will lost his first position..
