Transfer Budget

I've just recently downloaded Football Manager 2012 on my iPad and so I'm new to the game. I've made 2 player purchases so far and I've played 5 matches, the first I lost and the other 4 I won. I want to make an offer on a player but my transfer budget is limited to 1.5 million only. The player is worth more, I've tried negotiating with the board members to raise the budget but they said that they believe that I have enough to do my job. I'm not going to make any offers for now, but how can I increase the transfer budget for later when I progress?

You could use monthly installements over 48 months to sign the player. Or you could sell somebody to increase your transfer budget

Probably best to wait, paying in installments means less in future Etc..

I've tried selling numerous times but I keep getting that the club has received no responses regarding my offer.
