Just finished 3rd (w/ FA Cup win) with Utd, and had 40m to spend the following season.

Best tip I can give you is to get rid of some of the old high earning players. Most of their contracts were up at the end of the first season anyway.

It helps if you win tournaments and leagues etc. I won the league and the champions league in my 1st season which ive just finished and i have been given ?85 million for the next season.

I won the league in my first season. Got rid of high earners such as giggs and RVP (who spent the entire first season injured, played less than 10 games).

also won the FA cup in my third season. Won nothing in my second season though. Still got the same transfer budget of around 10m...

So I can't change my Transfer budget into wages.... So I'm in minus in wages and they don't let me change it?
Can't make transfer now because of the 2,5K wages (Fair play etc rules in the Sky bet 1) .... But I got like a million in transfer budget, ahhhh.

I started a new United save a Holiday'ed the first season, got ?40m budget and the team had come 5th in prem, lost in early rounds of domestic cups, but did reach Champs League Final. Now playing that season myself, so will hopefully see an improvement in budget come June.... Maybe it was just a glitch in my save, or something I did.... or maybe fixed by the update.....

Will let you know how I get on either way!

Thats pretty irritating Kristerfy! Are there any of your higher earners you could sell off to increase wages?

Won the Premiership & League Cup with Man City and was given a ?235 million transfer budget :D

Welcome to the financial fair play rule. Your board is probably limiting the budget in order to keep away from breaking this rule.
what is the financial fair play rule???
is that new real football rules or just in game settings???

It's an existing rule that will be enforced over the coming seasons: Financial fair play - UEFA.org

Will give Man Utd and Arsenal some much needed financial clout over City and Chealsea. Exciting times!

One thing that really annoys me is when people dismiss Utd because of their debt, and every time they do, it shows they have no financial knowledge... It's like saying you shouldn't be allowed to buy a car because you haven't paid your mortgage off.

People aren't dismissing them, but it's a fact they are in trouble financially. Even if they stay under FFP rules, that doesn't mean to say the massive debts won't have an affect.

I won't bother looking it up in more detail, but I see in Utd's last two seasons, they have over 100m in profit each season...

They still have massive debts though. As I said, they may remain not break FFP rules but they still need to be careful with their money.

Man Utd are not in trouble financially. They have huge debts, yes, but with their income it's more than managable. For it to become a problem, they would have to lose out on CL a couple years in a row. But I hear David Moyes has a plan worked out to make that happen :P
