Transfer glitch

I made an offer for a player from Real Madrid and plays on Castilla. My offer was accepted and when I try to offer him a contract it says that I can't because he's already accepted a contract offer. I can't withdraw my offer, doesn't seem that I can go on holiday, and I'm stuck. I don't want to have to abandon that save, I'm 7 years in and have a great thing going. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.

mhmm Try going to holiday for one day and clicking 'Disconnect from game' option at the bottom and see if it will push it along.

It won't let me go on holiday but you did give me an idea. If I just hit continue once I loaded without entering a password it delegates all tasks to others and got me past it.
