Hey guys,

I just bought the game and have some newbie questions, I did try to look for the answers but I couldnt find specifically what I was looking for.

I have bought the boxed PC version.

1, I would like to start the game from now (anytime after last season, with the teams relegated and promoted to where they should be with the upcoming season starting this August), can this be done?

2, Verson 10.3.0 wont install, I have downloaded it but have no idea what folder to install it to, and everytime I try with it, it starts to install, and then crashes, telling me files are out of place etc?

3, I would like a complete transfer update of all the summer transfers etc from pretty much today (I understand joe cole moved to Liverpool today, so I can edit that one myself as its so new) but which is the latest and best transfer update I can download and where do I download it to?

Thanks for any help!!

Matt

1) yes by downloading an edited update
2) use steam to install it off the disc, and let it update automatically for you
3) search for stuw's 10.3.2 database, easily the best one on here

Awesome thankyou mate, where can I find the edit update for question 1, to start the game from now?

How do I use steam to get the 10.3.0 patch in question 2?

And I will get the exact transfer update you suggested :D

Im not sure about point one
Steam will do it automatically, either that or the boxed version was updated
Yes get stuws use the search bar on the top right

question 1 is basically question 3, you will still start in 09/10, but transfer wise it will be as if you're in 10/11. the only way would be to holiday (but then transfers would happen) or wait for fm11

just install the game with steam. it will do it automatically as long as you are connected to the internet. its why i love steam

Yeah but thats my point, I dont want to start in 09/10, as then i'll have to go through the whole world cup etc again, is there no way to change the game start date and make it after the world cup?

not that i know of sorry mate. think this as close as you can get

You would have been better off installing without Steam, I find it problematic at times.

1 - You can only start from the beginning of the 2009-2010 season.

2 - Open Steam, go to football manager, and then 'check for updates'. It will find it for you automatically usually.

3 - For the latest transfer update, click the link in my Sig below. That is the most up to date, and is updated every week.

I don't know where to put it with Steam though.

Awesome, cheers guys!!
