It's possible isn't it?

I've just dropped my laptop, again. I'm getting rid of it soon anyway but I fear it might just black out and I may lose my saved games!
1) How to I transfer them to a USB stick.
2) Will any data be lost or will there be any corruption?

Yes, it's possible if you can get back into your damaged machine! Go to the below location:

c:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010

You'll find your save games in the 'Games' folder. Silimarly if you have anything else saved (shortlists, tatics, etc.) you'll find them here too.

Hope this helps

I cant seem to get my game from my computer to laptop, i place it in the games folder, go to load it on laptop and the loading bar stops half way, any ideas?

you need to ensure both copies of your game are on the same patch
