I have Carlos Tevez and Artem Milevskyi as strikers in my 5th season at Borussia Monchengladbach, Milevskyi was poor upfront on his own as a Target Man (Attack) until I bought Tevez to go alongside him as a Trequartista (Attack). Milevskyi is now scoring almost a goal a game, and even though Tevez isn't scoring that many (1 in 3), his assists, tackling, passing and average rating are very high, and the team is performing better on a whole.

van der vaart can fit the bill perfectl, also is offloaded by real madrid for about 4 million at the end of first season :)
