Bit random this.... (H)

Watching Liverpool knocked out of the Champions League last night a lot has (rightly IMHO) been made of how little the Swiss side has spent in comparison to Liverpool and how low the wages are at Basel.

Makes you wonder why a Premier League club doesn't just buy the Basel first team. What would they cost? £20m or so?

Has anyone tried this? How did it go?

But also have you seen a minnow in the game do really well and ended up 'cherry picking' their best players?

I think you're underestimating the value of some of their players. Xhaxa Frei Gonzales etc won't be bargains. Mane (RBS) cost around 10m pounds eg. But yeah, solid team, good players.

Why would you buy a whole team when you already have a team? Doesn't make sense...

if you wanted to buy Basel, why not be Basel?

To play in the BPL in a good competition. You could do that though with the editor.
