With performances like these, it's only a matter of time until Arrigo Burrito's name gets whispered in the ear of Per Mathias Høgmo (Norwegian national team manager). First team seems to be very solid! Keep it up!
 
Bath vs Truro FC

Having not been selected for the "starting XI" there was alot to play for in this match to try get in the team for the Port Vale game. Peters gets a first start in 6 weeks after injury. The only remaining player from a rotated squad is Duran, due to the injury to Vlatchev.

Some very good performances in this match, as the players look to impress before the cup game. Cerny scored his first goal for the club and Peters was very impressive in his first game back after a long time out. Christie took Man of the Match, but there were a few players in the mix. Certainly going to give me a few headaches when choosing the FA cup squad!

Conordinho resumes training and scores in the U21's squad!
 
Bishop's Stortford vs Truruo FC

This was the last game before the big FA cup game against Port Vale. The squad is rotated back, to a similar team that played in the last cup game and pressure is on after a big performance last match out, as poor performances today could put people out.

We started the game well with a well worked goal, but were then pegged back with some weak defending. We created alot of chances but failed to convert going into half time 1-1. Burrito managed to scramble in a goal, but more weak defending let in another equaliser! They had 2 shots in the whole game we had 28 and somehow we drew 2-2!?! Reminded me a bit of the Liverpool vs Chelsea game i just watched! A very poor performance from the team at both ends of the pitch. Has blown selection for the FA Cup game wide open.

Unfortunately we will not be able to win every game in the league, which i really thought we would do with this squad!
 
1st time being named MOTM for Dan :D, shame of the draw tho... And a call up for Ireland. Lets hope he gets playing time.
 
FA CUP 1ST ROUND: PORT VALE VS TRURO FC

The big day is upon us a true test of the players ability up against a League 1 side away! A poor performance last week has put a number of positions in question. Only injuries are Vlatchev and Bryant (just returned tody so not fit to be in contention - but playing 45 mins for U18's). Since the last "first" team i have decide to drop Gear, Big Show, Trifonov, Bryant (Injured), Harrison and Redgrave. So quite a few changes that last match really wasnt good and change is needed. So in comes; Farre, Cerny, Alonso, Peters, Patrik and Christie. Gone with a counter attacking formation as we are underdogs going into this game, but lets hope for a few surprises!!

We started well but an absolute howler from Farre to deal with a cross with no opposition near him and sent it into his own net!! I started to bark encouragement from the touchline hoping for a swift response!!! To my amazement this came straight from the kick off 3 passes and Pest put patrik in behind the defence, who drew the keeper and put it on a plate for Christie! 1-1, 6 mins gone. Looks like it could be a cracker!!

Some beautiful work from Smith on the wing delivered a perfect cross for Christie who hit the bar from a yard out! 16 mins gone.

Christie puts Smith in this time but a terrific sliding tackle denies what looked a certain goal! 66 mins gone. Decided to freshen the team up, Alonso was looking tired so Tomsalainen replaces him and Harrison comes on the wing for Patrik

Smith beats 2 defenders and drives into the area, pulling it back to Christie on the pentaly spot! 2-1!!!!!!! The away fans go crazy. 70 Mins gone.

Christie gets the ball outside the box and plays a delightful though ball for Harrison, who gets on the end of it and coolly slots it in the bottom corner. He sprints over to the away section to celebrate! 3-1 (76 mins). Decided to bring Big Show on for Burrito who hasnt had his best game today, just to get some fresh legs at the back and ill a bit of time.

A Duran corner in lands at Cernys feet and smashes it in from a few yards out! Players and fans alike are loving this performance! 86 mins

Another corner works its way to the edge of the box were Peters plays a lovely reverse pass to Christie who dispatches is into the back of the net to get the Hattric and the match ball!! The fans are chanting his name! 88 mins!

What a performance from the boys and i believe i made the perfect selection absolutely dominated the game and proud of the lads. Just the error from Farre at the start, but the team rallied together on to the 2nd round!!!!


Also Redgrave gets called up to Norway Squad




 
Brilliant work from the lads on International call ups. We are all worthy of a place i feel! Tough break on the draw in the league but awesome to see us powering in FA Cup....however Stuvardo hasnt even made the last two cup squads. Get that lad back into training! He clearly needs to work on his form
 
3 goals and an assist in a game against opposition in a higher up league
 
Seems that Dan the man had another good game against port vale. Lets hope he can keep it going
