Understand where you coming from. Doesn't work the language barrier becomes a problem players cant settle in and become greddy.. I've tried.

Worked fine for me with AC Milan. I didn`t have exactly one player per nation but I was pretty close, and I didn`t have a single italian player in my squad (except U19 team, heh)
Won the league and CL regularely.

How did you get around the player quotas? Either you had Italians or your squad as very small.

The only restriction in Italy is that you can only buy two foreign based non-eu players per season (or year?)

So there isn`t really any quotas to get around.
Or am I misunderstanding you?

edit: I guess you`re talking about the homegrown rule for CL. Yeah, small squad at first. I always go for young players and train them myself. When I`m 10 seasons into a game, most of my squad is home grown.

Oh yeh, I guess you could name a squad of 17 (minus 8 homegrown players) and then include lots of under 21s at first.
