BBC SPORT - 'Millionaire Club Championship' Latest


The new phenomenon that is the Millionaire Club Championship has exploded Into new levels this week
after news came about of owners of the League Bought, for a combined £450 million, the 12 best players
around and drafted out to the 12 teams In the League.

Since this news there have been comments from world footballs biggest names including

- "This new set-up could go either way really. It could ruin football or
create new oppotunities In football with these smaller independent
leagues starting" - Franz Beckenbaur

- "To be honest I like It because this should create more revenue for
English game from abroad" - Gary Linekar

These comments will only help the competition during the start up phase
throughout. The bidding has started for Television rights for live games
and highlights packages, The BBC has been involved in this bidding stage
and we can now announce that we have secured the rights to 20 live games
and the highlights packages. We are delighted with this result and look forward
to see how this season pans out.​

Lionel Messi signs for Watford


Former Barcelona forward Lio Messi has signed for Watford after being
drafted in by the League Organisers.

Other huge signings include Wayne Rooney for Walsall and Cristiano Ronaldo for Portsmouth.

Other low profile signings keep on coming as Southampton signed ex Leicester centre back Sol Bamba for £10million
