Unable to add downloaded database

Hiya, I'm having a problem when trying to use a database I have download with updated transfers and ca/pa adjustments, when I put the file into the correct folder and load my game, click the top right button to get the database section and it doesn't have the database I have downloaded there for me to select and I've put it into the folder it tells me to, could anyone help with this please
