torres is a good player but he is really suffering mentally, maybe a drop in a few stats like finishing and start him up as really bad morale which is hard to change...

Joe Allan & Leon Britton: In top 10 most accurate passers of Europe and have been a rock in the midfield
 
torres is not world class!! give it next season if he dont score goals he will be playin in a **** league

Seydou Doumbia!! His stats are just sick man.
Hulk.. Seryously, why the **** he is so good at this game?

Torres should get a unconsistant modifier until he gets better... If he ever does.
 
FM has a good number of mental attributes and consistency modifier that should propably get changed for Torres, but whining about his actual footballing skills being too high is just ridicolous. When he plays well he is top 5 striker in the world and has been for last 5-6 years.

Neymar hasnt yet proved himself on a serious level, so i wouldnt say he is overrated or underrated, he just is. As with a lot of south american players, you only get to see what they're made of after they move to Europe.

The problem is, he hasn't played at his best for awhile now. At present, his finishing is poor, his confidence is shot, and he shouldn't be one of the top strikers on the game; let alone top players. If other players get upgrades or downgrades based on how they've played this season, Torres should too.

Do you really think that? Think back to when he was at Liverpool he scored for fun it's just a confidence issue.
 
Watched a programme about the prem a few seasons ago and you should see the amount and the quality of Fernando Torres's goals, best striker in the world arguably when on top form. Obviously he's not at the minute though.

I agree with you!

Torres has being a normal player for the past two seasons! He was a monster player... when playing for Liverpool, but now?
If his confidence is not that high, than why keep him with so high stats?
He's overrated. Loorente seem a lot danger player than him.
 
best striker in world?! are you clueless bout footy. rooney, RVP and cavani are the best strikers in world! rooney plays poor in a game and still helps the team! torres is jst a lazy **** who does **** all

Torres is no longer world class, and I can't see him ever reproducing the form he showed at Liverpool, which is sad but there you go.

Just vommed a little bit. The kid is the epitome of the classless breed of huge ego, self indulgent, overpaid, prancing show ponies that this age of football has produced. Have you ever seen him in a press conference? Have you ever seen the number of sponsors that he is happy to have emblazoned all over his clothes for ridiculous sums?

He's a ****. Sure he's talented, but he's not a professional. Maldini, Zanetti, Gary Speed, Paul Scholes, Raul, those guys are professionals.

I'm closing this thread. It comes up every year. The fact is, the stats are looked at over a 18 month to 2 year period and adjusted gradually, this means that purple patches where players go on great runs of form don't cloud the researchers judgement. Everyone moaned a few years ago that Rooney wasn't good enough at heading in the game after he scored a few headers in a row. Is he an aerial beast in real life now? No.

Not only that, but most people are incredibly biased. Some idiot further up thinks Wilshire isn't as good as Pogba.... Not only that but he says Pogba is making a name for himself. Are you stuck inside a Man Utd bubble? Wilshire is an England international, Pogba is a kid who may or may not have a future at Man Utd who has done quite well in a handful of appearances.

Based on my previous statements, Torres may well get downgraded for FM13, but his problems seem largely mental, you don't lose talent like that at the click of a finger, something in his head is not right, so his downgrade may well be in the hidden stats that more of you need to pay attention to anyway.

As stated above, if you don't like a certain players rating, use the editor.

Also just to add, the thing about the game being weighted against Brasil/South America is rubbish. There are just as many South American researchers as there are European.

Doumbia has scored nearly a goal a game for CSKA who also until last night were still in the ECL! He deserves his stats!

Hulk was brilliant last season for Porto and doing really well this year! the only thing brilliant really about him is his physical stats and its true, he is a big guy and is extremely strong and quick!

Underrated:

Carrick, Welbeck, David Luiz, Holger Badstuber, Marvin Martin (much better, was class last year in Ligue 1)

Overrated:

Ganso (not the same player since his injury) Carrol, Fellaini,

Mario Gotze (I know I know, he is still very young, he gets injured way too often and could be toned down a little at the start of the game)

Schweinsteger (a lot of other mids have just as good if not better stats than him)

Julio Baptista (was **** for the last 3 years now his stats are insane)

Kara (he is a monster at 21 and has not played nearly long enough to get such high stats, plus its in a ****** league)

Axel Witsel (good player but now World Class mid)

Romelu Lukaku (seeing as though he has barely feature this year, he should be toned down, given a higher PA and not such a high CA)

Danny (has not done much over the years, good player but not as good)

Salvatore Bocchetti (one of the best Cb's in the game, playing for Rubin, not that great in real life)
