What is the best tactic formation?
I think every team should have solid defence, power midfielders and sharp offence.
Also there must be flank players to play wide game.
Defence (4): exactly 2xDC (DCL & DCR) | DL&DR or WBL&WBR - what is better
Midfelders (1): exactly 1xMC
Attack (3): exactly 1xFC(ST) and AML&AMR

2 free roles (maybe 1xDMC and 1xMC, ...or 1xMC and 1xFC ...or 1xDMC and 1xAMC ...or....)
and
selection between DL&DR ond WBL&WBR

Generally, the best formation is the one that lets you play your best players where they do most damage whilst keeping a balance between attack and defence. If your team consists of 2 really good DMCs with great stats in Decision, Work Rate, Passing and Positioning, then you should consider using 2 DMCs, The same goes for the attacking unit, If having 4 great attackers, It would be a shame not to use 2 of them each and every game.

As for free roles, combined with move into channels and fwruns, they are intended to create movement and open up free space so I think that at lest 1 free role and one player moving into channels are crucial if wanting to bring more than one dimension into your approach.
