Unlockables help

Hi

I have purchased a few unlockables, but how does it work?

Do they automatically take place once you start a new game or do you have to do something in settings. I have started a new game and I don't think the unlockables are working?

if your playing career mode you cant use them on their ! you can on classic mode if you click FM at the top right of the screen their should be an option at the bottom of the drop down menu for you to activate them
