Unselect a player in tactics screen

Ok I have no idea how to do this, but it gets very annoying when I get to the tactics screen and the right side comes up with Player Instructions instead of Formation.

How would I go about doing that?

It's an annoying little bug that is due for fixing in the 11.2 patch released in December.

Just click Shift + Left click Mouse on the player selected
