So with fm 15 just round the corner i decided one more save on fm 14 would be a good idea, and i thought with the new transfer updates Southampton would be a really good/fun team to work with!

So we begin!

View attachment 335499
With a huge 61.27m transfer budget we defiantly did had enough money to strengthen areas neeeded, already with a strong squad too!

Next post, pre season + transfers!

Pre Season

View attachment 335498
Very good pre season! Unbeaten and giving us alot of confidence going into the new premier league campaign!

Transfers

IN

View attachment 335497
5 young players signed for the future! Sending them straight out on loan to get some experience!

As for first team signings, im hoping Moussa Sow can be our main man upfront this season!

OUT

View attachment 335496
Just players out on loan!

Premier league season will begin next update!

Not a great way to start the season, didn't even deserve to score!

View attachment 335494
Tweaked the tactics for this game, and we played a whole lot better! Great result vs Spurs.

View attachment 335493
Good victory over league 1 side Cheltenham

View attachment 335492
Even game, couldn't quite break Burnley down at Turf Moor!

League Table

View attachment 335491
12th position but still only early doors!

September will be in the next update, hopefully we can pick up a good run of form!

A good 3-1 victory at St james' park

View attachment 335332
To beat Liverpool at anfield is a fantastic achievement, we're beginning to play good football now!

View attachment 335331
Deserved a draw atleast

View attachment 335329
Jay Rodriguez shines in a 4-1 victory against Palace

League Table

View attachment 335328
Sitting in 8th is good going, our minimum position i have set for us is 7th! So we seem to be on track if we can keep up our good run of form!

December will be in the next post

December 2013

Either side could of scored as it was an even game, unfortunately it was them who succeeded

View attachment 335323
Not the most off convincing wins but we collect the 3 points

View attachment 335322
Went 4-0 down, attempted coming back but the clock was against us.

View attachment 335321
Onto the semi final of the capital one cup!

View attachment 335320
The scoreline flatters West Brom

View attachment 335319
A 2-1 victory to end off a poor month for us in the premier league

League Table

View attachment 335318
A poor month keeps us in 8th spot, also we play manchester city next which is going to be a very tough game. Think about bringing a CAM into the squad in January as we don't have a natural one!

January next my friends!

Schneiderlin signs a new deal as a number of clubs were looking to sign him

View attachment 335310
Our only signing of the transfer window! We needed a centre attacking midfield, he was a hefty fee at 17.5m but hopefully he proves to be worth it

RESULTS

View attachment 335309

What a win! And a great start to a busy month

View attachment 335308
FA Cup 4th round here we come!

View attachment 335307
This win puts us in the drivers seat towards the capital one cup final!

View attachment 335306
Was always going to be a hard fixture

View attachment 335305
A point each was a fair result

View attachment 335304
Augusto's debut and he was abysmal! So were the other 10 on the field!

View attachment 335303
We've done it! We're through the capital one final where we will face Newcastle United.

View attachment 335302
Need to get the job done at White Hart Lane!

View attachment 335301
We end the month with Augustos first goal for the club which gives us 3 points at West Ham!

League Table

View attachment 335300
After a busy month we continue to fight for a Europa league place!

February is next!

February 2014

View attachment 335299
We deserved at least a point

View attachment 335298
Gutted to lose this as we had most of the ball!

View attachment 335297
The 17 million pound man steps up and gives us 3 points against Villa

View attachment 335296
Should of won this! Played Jay Rodriguez upfront as Pelle wasn't cutting it, and Rodriguez looked much sharper!

View attachment 335295
Really good victory here, they didn't deserve the two goals they got!

League Table

View attachment 335294
Sat in 7th, really want to catch Tottenham up, will be a difficult task but hopefully the squad is up for it!

March to follow

March 2014

CAPITAL ONE CUP FINAL!

View attachment 335231
Winning on penalties in a great game of football is great! Trophy in the first season is well over expectations! This also secures that we're in the Europa League next season!
Well played to Newcastle too who came back from 3-0 down!

View attachment 335230

3-0 up, then Newcastle came back to 3-3, lucky for us we have some good penalty takers!

View attachment 335229
Newcastle were out for revenge but with our confidence high we smashed them all over the park!

View attachment 335228
We went 1-0 up and i honestly thought we had got the 3 points but we couldn't hold on as we gave away a silly penalty to give united a point

View attachment 335227
I've been playing Sow upfront over Pelle and he hasn't disappointed he's had a good second half to the season!

View attachment 335226
We did a good comeback in the second half but couldn't clinch another goal, despite hitting the post twice in the last 5 minutes
Really good result at the Emirates

View attachment 335225
Smashed Palace here, they just didn't turn up. Renato Augusto is looking like a great signing with another brace here!

League Table

View attachment 335224
Look like we're on track to finishing 7th which was my aim, but im hoping Spurs will slip up and we could maybe just clinch that 6th slot!

April + May to follow!

View attachment 335196
A really strong showing against stoke, we didn't deserve to concede they hit us on the counter

View attachment 335195
Our defending was poor this game, after coming from behind twice we managed to earn a point away at hull

View attachment 335194
2-1 really flatters West Brown as they didn't show up!

View attachment 335193
What a game this was, i felt like we deserved something. We went 2-1 up but we couldn't hold on before half time. Still a very good performance.

View attachment 335192
Strong showing against Sunderland, gutted that Rodriguez missed that penalty for his hattrick.

Final game vs City at the Etihad!

View attachment 335190
What a way to end off a great season for us! Renato Augusto with a brace and Moussa Sow with 1!
Good 3-2 victory against City

Final League Table

View attachment 335189
Chelsea run away with the league
Arsenal finish 4th
We finish a well deserved 6th placed
Liverpool are 8th
Leicester, Sunderland and Crystal Palace all relegated.

End of season review will be next!

great 1st season mate, particularily with the capital one cup win.
Decisions you will take in the next transfer window will be decisive for the futur of Soton.

Tadic and Jay Rodriguez were incredible during 3 seasons as AML and AMR (bunch of goals for both each season).

I'm currently in a southampton save too, 5th season.
I won the title on the 4th but i'm 6th after 23 games now... :(

The team now:
Zieler
regen from argentina (RB) - Romagnoli - Balanta - Jonathan Silva (LB)
Ward Prowse (support playmaker) - Romeu (ball winning)
Rodrigo Gomez (AMR winger beast) - Meyer - Januzaj (AML every seconds jerk off player)
Erick Torres (aka The Finisher; scored 34 league goals last season)

bench is: joel ward, Casasola, Gil Romero, Kagawa, Allione, Ongenda

This is "total fucebol" every game with this team!

Good luck, and I will follow your story for sure! ;)

Review

All in all a great season and a fun one, the club is only going to get bigger and better from here. With the right signings my aim is to finish 4th next season to get champions league football, 5th is the very minimum position!

Onwards and upwards!

Pre Season + Transfers is next!
