Thanks mate, yeah fifth would be great, but I would love to qualify for Champs League.

I'll deffinately be following, good story.

Great managing!! are you say this is your first story? Nice layout too.

It is indeed, thanks.

Quite early in the season but if you keep your form going then you can break the top four

Yeah, I think December will be a telling point as I play 10 games, 7 or 8 of which are league games, if I can get good results in those games I will be nicely setup to push for fourth, especially with so many teams losing players to African Cup of Nations.

If you need a defensive tactic feel free to try mine if you like, some good feedback on the thread. It's just a flat 4-4-2 but if you use a different formation don't use it :)

Thanks Max, have taken a few pointers from your tactic, I am playing a flat 4-4-2 most of the time, however I have my full-backs on support, so they do get caught out often, maybe I will change that to defend.

I need some advice please...
I am looking at perhaps changing my tactics altogether, possibly creating different tactics for different quality teams or scenarios in which I find myself during games. Would this disrupt my team? Should I wait till pre-season so that I can test these tactics in friendlies rather than competitive games?

When I play 4-4-2, if I'm playing with quick wingers who will attack and bomb down the wing then I'll tell the full backs to defend so it balances defence and attack, if you can't balance that, you'll have problems in either one of them.

Would my players have trouble adapting if I continuosly change the formation and tactics?

Yes, maybe switching between 2 formations would be okay, but more than would be a problem.

Cool, thanks for the advice.
P.S. I will probably only be updating again next week, as I have not had much free time over the past few days.
