I have downloaded and installed the update from LFC Marshal and the one from Pro. They worked the first time I started a new game, but haven't worked since on any new game. Can anyone help as to why this is?

You need to have it active in every new game you start. When you click New Game, the select DB box appears. Towards the bottom right, tick the little box that will let you select alternate DB. Click OK/Continue, and it will appear in the list that comes up after.
