RGENT HELP - U18's

I need help with my spurs U18's because, I have signed loads of regens, and even got one of the best players of his Generation in my second season ( I upgraded my youth academy).
But I end up performing badly???
Why?
Is there a tactic I could use or something.

I even lost 4-0 to Arsenal U18's and they have rubbish regens???

I like to think ahead for the future, because on FM09, I made loads of money from my youth when they turned ang 21 - 26

But bad at FM10, well not my first team but youth

Try mastering a first team first then move onto the U18s. If you have good coaches they will make your youth players good (along with some first team experience) and you should make money that way - then when you are a capable first team manager, take control of the U18s.
