Ukrainian Club Dinamo Kiev’s fierce rivals Shakhtar have snuck Bolt from right under their noses, and he will be joining 21 Aug 2009.

Cayman Islands 0-2 Jamaica, Bolt had an average game getting one shot on target, but a good game for his first game at professional level.

His acceleration is quite correct as his size hinders his acceleration. Most of the sub-10 second sprinters are a lot quicker off the line than him. His reaction times are great though.

Shakhtar have signed Jamaican wonderkid Usain Bolt on $5,000 p/w till end of 2014.

At the midpoint in the Ukrainian season we see Shaktar sitting in 2nd behind Dinamo.

Bolt is looking good with 9 goals in 19 apps, second top scorer after
Luiz Adriano in the team.

He was first choice striker, but just received his first career red card (banned for 1 match).

He is also making that final jump to recovering his immense pace, not much improvement on the technical side though. Still hoping one day to meet up with his football idol Cristiano Ronaldo, lets hope he will succeed.

End of Season


Bolt finishes on 14 goals with 3 assists and an average rating of 7.28.

Shaktar win the league, by the skin of their teeth with one point, and also win the domestic cup comfortably with a 3-0 victory.

A very successful first season for Bolt, second highest goalscorer and one of the better avrg rating.

I'm predicting another year at Shaktar and then a move to a stronger European team (i.e. in..England, Italy or Spain).

So the new season has started and Bolt has signed a new contract to keep him their till 2014. He is currently on 4 goals in 6 apps which is quite impressive (Top Scorer in fact).

He is quite limited in his apps with Shaktar containing 15 foreign player in a league which limits to 6. I think its time he moved on to team with better training facilities or somewhere he'll get more first team action.

We still see a slow increase in all attributes, with acceleration reaching 19 now. COME ON BOLT!

Shaktar sit top of the league 14pts clear at Febuary, on the home straight.

However after an injury free first season Bolt has picked up a few months of injuries interrupting his fine season. Lets hope he can pick himself up from this, and not be reminded of….
