With the World Cup almost here I thought it would be fun to have a go at using Fm18 to predict what is going to happen this summer. Using the excellent Real World Cup data update by kingpazza (he also has done a 100 simulation experiment which you can find on youtube, much more committed than I am!), which you can find on Steam in FM18's workshop, to make sure I got the correct teams involved I've then simulated the tournament a number of times and placed some bests based on the results namely:

- Spain to win. (Odds 7.00)
- Uruguay to reach quarter finals. (Odds 2.62)
- Columbia wild card to win outright. (Odds 41.00….wow)
- Antoine Greizmann Golden Boot each way. (Odds 13.00)
