ADAMS LEAVES VALE

Today Port Vale manager Micky Adams left Port Vale FC. The League Two side are currently aithout both a chairman and manager. Adams, 50, has said that it is for family reasons and that he hopes fans understand his decision to leave The Vale. Many fans can understand his decision although a few don’t.

Daniel Stephenson, 34,-“I can understand his reasons, I mean his gettin’ on a bit now”

Richard Altingtop, 21,-“Why did he leave! What a muppet! When I get my hands on him I’ll….”

Here are the odds on Adams’ successor (provided by William Hill)

Dave Jones 3/1-The ex-Cardiff boss is without a job and could be the man to guide Vale to League One

Terry Burton 7/1-Ex-Cardiff assistant manager deserves a crack at management coukd this be his chance?

Ian Allinson 10/1-The Boreham Wood boss has proved himself in Non-League football could he make the step up?

Jimmy Calderwood 18/1-The ex-Hibs man may be a bit of a long shot for a League Two club but employment is priceless and this is his sort of club.

Matthew Hawkins 27/1-The unknown manager on the list there’s always one isn’t there?

The question is who will take over from Micky Adams?
