steven appiah is rally good at championship level & is free! i had him in my winning QPR team 
also balde, helguera are free DC's which are good enough for championshsip i also had these :L
fiore is a right winger for free, angulo is cheap and exception as is hasan sas for on the wing.
smertin is also a good CM for free.
