If you have a certain style in mind, and have the players at hand to pull that style off - Would a Very Rigid philosophy and More Disciplined creative freedom be a bad way to go? In theory it should work, but would it have repercussions?

That depends on the style, wouldn't you say? If your style requires a very rigid and disciplined type of playing, then obviously it wouldn't be a bad way to go. If your team is defensive minded and you want to keep the formation at all times, and perhaps exploit the chances you get from set pieces, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

If you're a massive underdog with limited players, it's preferable to be solid and difficult to beat than trying to play good football. Think Greece 2004.
