I'm going to keep the opening post of this thread relatively short and sweet:
Today we saw Aston Villa gain a new owner in Tony Xia, a Chinese businessman who plans to undo all of Randy Lerner's wrongs. However, what if Dr. Xia never had a deal brokered for him and wasn't interested in buying the club - what if Randy Lerner didn't sell the club at all?!
No transfer budget, a set of demotivated and overpaid players, all while having the "unachievable" task of trying to regain Premier League status.
Eric Black has parted ways with the club and a new manager is set to take charge imminently, as the club are confirmed as finishing 20th in the Premier League and in turn being relegated to the Championship.
Will Villa become another forgotten giant? Or will the club rise again, with a new man at the helm?
