George Pickering has been announced as the new Villarreal Manger following the resingation of former manager Juan Carlos Garrido. A Press Conference Will take place shortly.

Q- You Sit here the new manager of Villarreal. Is this your dream job?
A- I am Pleased to have the chance to work here.

Q- You have taken this job without being able to speak Spanish. Will this be an obstacle?
A- It will be for a while yes.

Q- What is your overall approach to the tactical side of the game?
A- I Prefer to play an attractive attacking game.

A- I'd like to be involved as much as i can

Pickering has a transfer budget of 6 million and a wage budget of 850k p/w for the season

Villarreal Complete Barnetta Signing

Villarreal have today completed the signing of Swiss Winger Tranquillo Barnetta from Bayer Leverkusen for the fee of 9.5 Million. Barnetta who has earned 44 caps for his country scoring 7 goals can play on the left or right wing and will look to make an impact at his new club. This signing adds to the captures of hots prospects Nicolas Otamendi and Vaclav Kadlec from Velez and Sparta Prague for 2.4 and 1.7 Million respectively. 10 Players have left the club including Robert Flores to Groningen for 2.1 Million and Marco Ruben to Ajax for 1.8 Million.
