Football coach Manolo Preciadohas died this morning of a heart attack. Cantabrian coach, who coached last season at Sporting Gijon, had just signed for Villarreal.
Formed in the lower categories of Racing de Santander, Manuel Preciado Rebolledo (The Shipyard, Cantabria, August 28, 1957) developed his playing career in the Cantabrian club and later play in Linares, Mallorca, Alaves, Ourense and Gymnastics Torrelavega club where he ended his career and later would also be coach.
As a coach, Preciado turned to teams as Racing de Santander, Valencia, Alaves, Murcia and Sporting Gijon. To his credit has five upgrades, two of them (Levante and Sporting) to First Division. In the Asturian club played for the last six seasons, including four in the top flight.
