I've been using a few of the tactics with great success at Real Sociedad, so a huge thanks for these Vujevic!
However, no matter who I play at libero, they seem to get a low rating and I struggle in the big games. I tried your test1 to see if it's better defence would help and I got pummeled!
Does cb centre need to be on libero or could another role help?

try central defender on cover mazbe will be better
Unfortunately that hasn't really helped, although oddly changing both the right and left defenders into wide centre back - defend seems to work well.
I think the main issue is that when my team are not able to dominate the ball, we're just getting constantly passed through with through balls out I don't know how to get a grip on it.
Probably defender with good positioning and concetration will help

I can suggest that any of them 3 at the back tactics from opening post will work with underdog

I have done that for Kaiserslautern, they have a D1 squad to play in D3 to start with. So achieving back to back promotion isn't too difficult.
I came 4th in first year in D1.
Fulham suggestion seems interesting!
Or else, I started playing with a team called Braintree in English national league South, 1st year MP is to come last. You can try to get one of the worst team in the 'normal game data' to promote to higher division.
