Tonight I will launch my own FM story.

It will be the first career game I have played on FM09. I will load England, Scotland and Spain, all playable leagues. Large Database.

Starting unemployed, I will work my way up the managerial ladder but at some point in my career I have a dream of managing one club imparticular.

The club may come as a suprise. If I do end up there, it will be when the time is right. I may not stay there long if better offers come up for me, as this isn't just about leading my old team to Glory, but also about being a succesful manager throughout my career.

I want to earn, and win, as much as possible - not just at one club.

If I don't get much replies throughout I will stop the story because it would be a waste of time...but I will try making it as interesting/funny/realistic as possible and hopefully help any other LLMs with their games and maybe inspire others to tell their story.

First Installment, the introduction, will be posted by 7pm tonight.

Hope you enjoy.

nooooooiiiice, i prefer to do career games in the sense of starting as a team in a foreign league and work towards the BIG time, but still, hope you do well.

To be honest, I don't know where I will start (Spain, Eng or Scotland)

I selected these three leagues because my "character" in the game, realistically, could probably only go as far as some small clubs in these nations from the off.

oic, maybe start in scotland, lowest rep league you have, at the moment ive started one in portugal, with 10 different nations leagues availible =]

CD Denia appoint Readman

Spanish Second Division B3 side Denia CD have appointed former Crewe Alexandra striker James Readman as manager...

Hm, I was thinking of writing up about my journeyman stories but after seeing how good you are at writing this, I think I might leave it a little while. :P

Transfer Window Round-Up

Minnows Denia were the most active team in the transfer market, strengthening their side with no less than 13 new players.

Amongst the signings was Manu Micó a DM/WBL once of Benidorm and Valencia Mestalla.

Mico looks decent, good luck next year.

Screenshot of who is in your league?

CD Denia v Barcelona 'B'

First match report. They won't all be like this, but as it was first match you get a special treat.

My take

SkySports got it spot on really :P. Had ample opportunity to put the match to bed, but failed to do so. Should maybe have changed tactic to try get the killer goal or try bring on a different striker. Bad mistake let them score. Have attached the goals incase anyone wanted to see (K)
