Been wanting to do this for a while i want to create my own approach my own philosophy instead of trying to copy real life managers. I would like to have my 3 favorite things in football
1) Possession - If you can keep the ball from your opponents you lower chances of losing

2) Pressing - I always think that if you can cause the opposition to rush and can cause my mistake and get the ball back and control the game

3) Quick Counter attack - nothing more amazing then seeing a light quick counter attack

so how can you get those 3 things in one approach ??

The only way i can think off is having this set up
counter
Direct passing - but every PI to short
play out of defense
work ball into box
run at defence
exploit flanks
play narrow
high line or much high
hassle opponents
get stuck in
lower or higher tempo

For possession - Shorter Passing, Retain Possession, Pass Into Space, Slow or Very Slow Tempo and maybe Be Expressive.
For Pressing - Hassle Opponents, Stay On Feet
For Quick Counter - Mentality - Counter - Fluidity - Fluid/ Very Fluid

Im doing this with Ajax and I've taken inspiration from Cruyff, Guardiola and Lobanavsky. Its a very high tempo, pressing, short passing, very fluid, overload 4-3-3. Lots of movement. Its my own brand of football, but I actually think it looks very Total Football'esque in that somehow I've managed to achieve positional interchange. In a recent game my Right Back popped up in the Centre forward position whilst my left winger tracked their AM and my Forward was covering the right flank. It happens regularly. The team chase down in packs and when they win the ball some of the football is sensational. I've trained ALL my attacking players to play one-twos and have introduced the tactic to all three levels of the club. Things are taking shape nicely near the end of the 3rd season.
