As you hopefully all know, we at Sports Interactive do some work with a charity called Warchild. They have a very simple premise, and that is that no child should be affected by war.
We are always looking for new ways to both promote the charity and help them raise money, so an idea was mooted to do some "football chants" (a bit like the England Supporters band stuff we did a few years ago) and make them available as a digital download via Warchild. So, we did.
There are 5 packs in total, each of them retailing from the Warchild Music website for 99p each. Each pack has 5 chants in it, is easy to install, and includes changes to make them work inside the game. There are packs available for both PC & Mac.
Once installed, the chants will play at key moments on the match day, such as when important goals are scored. To give you an idea of which chants are included, some examples are : "Coming Round the Mountain", "You are my Sunshine" and "When the Saints Go marching In".
All of the profits on this goes directly to Warchild Music which is a division of the Warchild charity. Sports Interactive are receiving no monies at all for these packs.
