Warhammer 40K Space Marine

Demo is pretty good, might well get this once I have finished Deus Ex. I used to love collecting and especially painting Warhammer 40k, think I could easily get back into it! #geek@25yearsold

Once you've read the Codex Astartes, it never really leaves you. I cant wait to stomp some gretchins while cutting down Orcs in a blaze of Bolter but being Ultramarines.....

....THIS GAME NEEDS TYRANIDS!!!!!

Dunc and I are both getting this so Exterminatus will be plenty of fun online.

You're a massive nerd really, aren't you? :P

Will this thread be full with as much Mike. nerdgasms as the Deus Ex thread?

Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean.

I like War Hammer stuff and had really high hopes for the game. First impressions on the demo were not the best but got a bit better by the time I finished it. Are Orks the only enemy on it? Would love to see some of the mutated Chaos Marines make an appearance!

Will probably only get this when it about 10-15 quid

Chaos Marines are in it. Personally i dont think they preseted the demo too well, though i loved the gameplay. I've pre-ordered so ill let you know over the weekend

when I say Chaos Marines, its Chaos and nt just strictly their Marines, so expect Bloodletters and other Daemons

I thought the gameplay was ok.... It did get better the more I played but I couldnt see it as a 'cant put down' kind of game though. And the Orks sounded absolutely ***** lol

When I said mutated its because I cant think of their proper name :P the ones that have tenticles instead of arms and lots of boils and infections haha.

Are dreadnaughts and tanks on it? Sorry if its posted but I'm at work taking quick looks when I can ;)

I replayed it over and over, mainly for the end of the first demo level with the Power Axe

Nurgle!! He is in Dawn of War: Chaos Rising... epicly hard fight. Not sure if his Plague Marines are in it. Not sure about Armor, but if Lascannons are in it, I hope so!!

Plague marines, theyre the ones! LOVE them, they look awesome!

The Warhammer world is PERFECT for a series of FPS games imo, the theme/storys etc could be amazing. Imperial, Chaos, Orks, even the others like Tyranids, Tau and Necrons - just so many options

It really is. I think like the Dawn of War RTS, this will be solid, and very good, but not excellent. But they will use it to learn whats right and whats wrong, and build on it, while expanding the story around it. And that's why I love Relic, they genuinely love Warhammer and what they do. Their office has a the front half of a near full size Predator bursting through its wall. For this game they hired a lot of people who had worked on FPS and TPS, namely from places like Rockstar.

If there are Ultramarines, there must be Tyranids!!!!!!!

I would love an FPS series or even a multi species (army or whtever) online game similar to Star Wars Battlefront - I think that could work really well. Have so many on each side of each differnt race and have them all battling!

This game is obviously done in a Gears of War style, but Space Marines dont take cover - straight in!!
