Watford announce managerial changes

View attachment 54946

Watford Football Club would like to announce the managerial changes made at the club on the 4th of July. Malky Mackay has been relieved of his duties as manager after mutual consent was agreed between both parties, and we have quickly looked to hire young and upcoming manager Max King as the new manager of Watford Football Club.

We would like to thank Malky Mackay for his effort during his tenure at the club, and all the work and effort he has put it behind the scenes also in the short time he has been here. Malky was a fan favourite here as a player, and as a manager, and will be greatly missed by the staff, fans and players.

We ensure you Max King is the man for this job, and that he can take us to the Premier League within a few seasons. We don't expect him to be in the play off's this season, and we hope to consolidate in the season safely without relegation fears of any kind. Financially we will be backing him with a budget of around £200k, we feel this is enough money to bring in any players he needs, and also enough to shift on to the wage budget which is over the limit at the current time. We hope to be in a more sound financial position sooner than later, to back Max King in the transfer market more.

We have promised no players will be sold without his consent, including Scott Loach.

Max King was later quoted saying..

I'm delighted to take such a good job on with great opportunity, let's just hope it works out for me and hopefully I can take this club higher than we expect. I'll be looking to add to the squad with more loan deals and one or two free transfers, but it's a tight market and a tight financial situation; this will not be easy.

Hope you follow guys (K)

Good Luck Max, you deserve the best for such a great bloke like yourself... XD

Good luck with this max. I still think the name of the story should have had some reference to elton john. ¬_¬

Nice layout, some genius must have helped you ;). Good luck Max, remember sign Jaroslav Cerny!

If you can loan Scott Sinclair, very good player. His stats don't rate his performance, wierdly enough!

Would do mate but he's on loan at Wigan from the start, not sure if I'll play with wingers at the moment, there's a lot of quality in the middle of the park and not so much on the flanks. :)

Watford looking to sting in the market

New Watford manager Max King will look to loan players such as Chris Basham, Fabrice Muamba and Marlon Harewood in the coming week. King has told fans "he will not be spending money" in the transfer market, and will look for loans due to the drastic financial situation at the Championship club.

Watford chairman Peter Taylor was quoted saying..

Peter Taylor said:
We're backing Max 100% with these loan deals, they're fantastic ideas and it will really help us in the league if we can complete the deals. It shouldn't be hard to convince both of the lads from Bolton to come, as I'd expect if one came the other would aswell. We're sweating on the Harewood deal due to other interest but we're certainly hoping it can happen.

Harewood is a goal machine.. if you can get him.

Yeah hopefully I can get him but a few teams like Leicester are after him too.

More updates tomorrow lads ^^)
