Watford announce managerial changes
View attachment 54946
Watford Football Club would like to announce the managerial changes made at the club on the 4th of July. Malky Mackay has been relieved of his duties as manager after mutual consent was agreed between both parties, and we have quickly looked to hire young and upcoming manager Max King as the new manager of Watford Football Club.
We would like to thank Malky Mackay for his effort during his tenure at the club, and all the work and effort he has put it behind the scenes also in the short time he has been here. Malky was a fan favourite here as a player, and as a manager, and will be greatly missed by the staff, fans and players.
We ensure you Max King is the man for this job, and that he can take us to the Premier League within a few seasons. We don't expect him to be in the play off's this season, and we hope to consolidate in the season safely without relegation fears of any kind. Financially we will be backing him with a budget of around £200k, we feel this is enough money to bring in any players he needs, and also enough to shift on to the wage budget which is over the limit at the current time. We hope to be in a more sound financial position sooner than later, to back Max King in the transfer market more.
We have promised no players will be sold without his consent, including Scott Loach.
Max King was later quoted saying..
I'm delighted to take such a good job on with great opportunity, let's just hope it works out for me and hopefully I can take this club higher than we expect. I'll be looking to add to the squad with more loan deals and one or two free transfers, but it's a tight market and a tight financial situation; this will not be easy.
Hope you follow guys (K)
