In one of your posts you said Peter Taylor was the chairman?
Isn't it Graham Taylor, Peter Taylor is the Bradford manager?

However good luck

Wycombe demolished by wicked Watford

carlingcuppicture.jpg

The cup will certainly be bottom of King's list this season

In a game they thoroughly deserved to win, Watford battered Wycombe by scoring 4 goals against their opponents in a very much one sided encounter. Goals from Graham, Lansbury, Cowie and Hoskins secured the win and progress to the 2nd round of the League cup.

Max King was asked about his thoughts on the game and replied..

Max King said:
I thought we played very well today, we moved the ball around the park nicely at the start and quickly wore them out, and then capitalized on that by taking our chances well, I couldn't be more please with the performance and the result.

Watford unlucky in defeat

watfordvspeterbrough.jpg

Watford were the better team, but not infront of goal.

Peterborough ran away with what could be seen as 3 lucky points in an even game where if anything Watford were slightly the better team. Watford dominated for the first 45 minutes of the game but failed to score any of their chances, and just 3 minutes into the second half they were punished after Mackail-Smith's initial shot was parried by Scott Loach, Sergio Torres tapped in the rebound to give Peterborough a priceless win that certainly left Watford manager Max King frustrated.

King was quoted saying..

Max King said:
I think we have a right to feel frustrated after this result, but what's most important is to forget about it and move on. We've got an extremely tough away game at Swansea next week, and we need to focus on that.

Swansea grab last gasp point vs Watford

pratleycelebrating.jpg

Pratley sends the crowd wild with his last minute equaliser

Watford must of thought they had gotten a fantastic win at the Liberty Stadium with only 30 seconds remaining after Tom Clevereley had given them the lead in the 69th minute after tip toeing past several defenders and smashing in, a goal Clive Tyldesley called 'magical'.

Although Cleverley wasn't the only one out to impress, with only 30 seconds remaining of stoppage time, Darren Pratley pounced on a poor clearance by Jay Demerit and volleyed in from 25 yards to save a point for a Swansea side that certainly had luck on their side in game where they didn't deserve anything but a loss

Max King was approached after the game about his thoughts...

Max King said:
I thought we played well and to be honest at the start of the game I would of happily taken a point. Swansea are a tough team to beat but I think we caught them on a bad day today and they did get lucky but that's football.

Cristaldo puts on superb showing to beat Barnsley

doncowietakingafreekick.jpg

Don Cowie (pictured above) steps up to take his free kick.

After an amazing performance from new loan signing Jonathan Cristaldo, Watford ran out 3-1 winners over Barnsley to secure their first away win of the season and their first league win in 2 games. Watford took an outstanding 2-0 lead in just 15 minutes, after Cristaldo opened the scoring with a poacher's finish, and then went onto tip toe past 3 Barnsley players to get into the box, and then squared it to fellow striker Danny Graham to tap home and put Watford into a strong lead.

Although it wasn't long until the host replied when make-shift centre back Chris Basham lost the ball on the half way line and Daniel Bogdanovic capitalized by slipping the ball under Scott Loach to make it 2-1. Bogdanovic will of also felt hard done by when he was denied a 2nd moments later when his header was ruled offside, although replays show he was just onside.

Don Cowie finished things up for Watford in the 45th minute just before half time with a beautiful free kick which curled into the back of the net, beating Barnsley 'keeper Luke Steele once again.

King was spoken to by Sky Sports reporter Chris Kamara..

Chris Kamara said:
Max, your lads played well out there today, do you think it's possible you can possibly get into the play off's this season if you play like that more consistently?

Max King said:
I really don't see why not if I'm honest Kammy, we've got a good bunch of players here and with some more hard work and luck I think we can give it a go, but to be honest I'd rather focus on just mid-table or a top half finish, that's the aim and that's where we'll focus for now.

Chris Kamara said:
Okay, cheers pal.

Another update later lads, here's a screenshot of the league table, anything else wanted just ask. :)

Clinical Watford too much for below par Swans in the Cup

cleverleycelebrating.jpg

Watford faced Swansea here for the second time in just over a week, and once again Swansea failed to beat Watford. A man of the match performance from Tom Cleverley left Swansea dumped out of the competition, with goals from Cleverley himself, and also Cristaldo scored his 2nd in as many matches. A good win for the Hornets who progress to the 3rd round of the competition comfortably.

Outside of the stadium, Paulo Sousa was questioned on his side's performance vs Watford..

Reporter said:
Paulo, do you feel your team gave enough effort tonight and should the fans be disappointed?

Paulo Sousa said:
Err, well I do not believe we gave the amount of effort and fight we should of been giving tonight, and yeah the fans should be disappointed but we all know this is something we need to get over quickly and just focus on the league as usual, the cup isn't as important to us.

Reporter said:
Okay Paulo, thanks and good luck for the season.

The Hornet's sting is too much for the Blades

watfordvssheffutd.jpg

[A late comeback by a determined Watford side left Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell completely shocked as his side were still 1-0 up with 10 minute remaining through a 48th minute Cresswell goal, until the 81st minute when Will Hoskins smashed home a volley from the edge of the area which levelled things at 1-1

Things then got interesting, when Sheffield United player Nick Montgomery was sent off in the 83rd minute for a second yellow card, Watford took the incentive and went all out attack and were rewarded when John Fleck arrived on the end of a Cleverley cross to smash home a header from close range to send the Watford fans into raptures with fans running onto the pitch joining the bundle of players celebrating at the corner flag. A fantastic victory for Watford in a game many tipped as an easy win for Kevin Blackwell's men.

An ecstatic John Fleck was interviewed after the game about his goal..

Chris Kamara said:
John, first goal in English football, what a time to score it!

John Fleck said:
Yeah definitely was a good time to score it, I just saw the ball coming in and thought I might get on the end of it and luckily I did and it's gone in and won us a game we were underdogs in, and that's why I love football so much.

Chris Kamara said:
The gaffer Max King has already said he'd love to keep you here, what do you say to that?

John Fleck said:
We'll see..

Destructive Preston bring Watford back down to earth

watfordvspreston.jpg

No-nonsense Preston thrashed helpless Watford 3-0 at the Deepdale this afternoon, with the visitors never getting a bite in this game. By half time Watford were already 2-0 down after a brace from in form loan striker Danny Welbeck who has previously been tipped by Sir Alex Ferguson 'to play in the South Africa world cup for England' this summer, and isn't doing his slim chances any damage with performances like these. Welbeck's strike partners Neil Mellor popped up on the 63rd minute to end the game by making it 3-0 to Preston who very much deserved their win.

A unresponsive Max King was interviewed after the game..

Max King said:
Quite shocked if I'm honest. I thought it would tough, but not that tough. Fair play to Preston, they're a very good side and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Premier league next season. That'll be all.

Watford unable to recover from Preston defeat

watfordvsleicester.jpg

Leicester capitalized on a poor finishing Watford who were still licking their wounds it seemed after their 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Preston after missing numerous chances and were punished for their complacency in the 30th minute when former Newcastle and Aston Villa player Nolberto Solano scored a wonderful free kick to put the visitors infront. Chris Basham was left furious with the referee at the end of the game when the referee said no for 2 clear cut penalties for Watford on fouls on Chris Basham which could of possibly won Watford the game. Not a good result for Watford and they drop down to 14th after this.

A furious Max King was questioned on the match later..

Max King said:
I know refereeing is an extremely hard job, but when your right in front of two incidents like that and you say no foul each time, it's a disgrace. If it was outside of the area no doubt they both would of been given, we need consistency, not f***in complacency
.

King was later fined £1,000 for swearing on live television and was warned by the FA for his comments towards the referee in their match.

Screenshot of the league table, if anything else is required just say. :)

Updates again later. (A)

Cheers dude (H) Frankie helped me with the Watford banner bit at the top of the updates, and gave me advice where to put pictures etc, but the rest is mine, like the quotes and all the writing is from my little brain. (A)

Yeah. liking the layout too :)

What tactic you using?
Cheers mate, using my own 4-3-1-2 tactic that I made for this, working okay so far, just need to get the strikers scoring more. :)

It is good though weirdly enough, I was going to something like your SSN thing earlier. oO)

Sorry, just noticed this. Beautiful layout, definitely following this.
