i play with liverpool..and i selected the players with the best penalty taking to take the penalties(they have 18 and 16)..half of time they miss..it's so frustrating..i know in FM 10 a penalty was rarely missed..that was bad too..bad this is just too much..in real life there are nowhere near as much missed penalties

anybody else has this problem?

ps: sorry about my english..is not my first language
 
Yeah a few people have been complaining about this. Personally I have not noticed because I haven't really had that many penalties, and the ones I have had, my player has scored.

The issue should be fixed in patch 11.2 which will probably be out in a couple of weeks.
 
Aye, agree with this, although it seems to happen more with penalty shoot outs. Arsenal vs Real Madrid and 10 misses for example.

Ronaldo missed in a regular penalty too.
 
i had a penalty shooot out with wolves and 7 players in a row kicked it wide, just after that my hard drive decided it was going to dump everything and pack up so had go get new laptop.... maybe got fed up of flying lessons lol

I had Maresca taking my penalties at Celtic, & he misses all the time! He has 18 for penalty taking too!

This is obviously a bug & as mentioned by Tharros, should be fixed in the patch :)
 
firstly, I think far too many penalties are being given as well, especially in the lower levels :S

I had Maresca missing penalties too, so had Lukaku take 'em instead.

Only he went and missed his first penalty.
 
Sadly, I never get enough penaltys to notice.
Something like 3 Penaltys in 2 Seasons. Don't have much luck down South :@
 
I have a 100% record of penos. 6 out of 6 in a shootout, and 3 out of 3 in normal play. Weird

I had 4 penalties in my first season in the Prem with Norwhich, i missed every ****** one denying me points over Man City and Chelsea in the process!
 
I had a penalty shoot out with Barnet in the JPT. We both only scored 1 penalty in the shoot out and I (Charlton) won after 3 missed penalties in sudden death.
 
Missed Pens

Have done a few various seasons now & am really getting annoyed with the amount of missed pens. I've just loaded up a new Lazio season & was hoping that it was not going to continue however have missed 4 pens from 4 in 3 pre season friendlies against very smal teams with fake GK's. Looks like it will be the same for the rest of the season. I'm also finding it ridicules how many disallowed goals there are, I was doing a Hearts season & was averaging 2-3 disallowed goals for my team per game over the course of the season with the opposition only having 1 every 3-4 games. It was around 50% of the goals I scored were chopped off. Also in next patch could do with fixing the % of red cards given for going in dangerously with 2 feet seems like every red card is for the same thing.

I haven't any real issue with pens either... My Sampdoria save I scored them all, with 3 different takers (I never specify one) and in my Eastleigh save I've only missed one, but the guy that took it had scored one in the previous game. The next time we got a pen, someone else took it and scored (he'd been on the pitch when the other guy missed so it looks like the captain decided to change it ;) )
 
I dont get many penalties but I remember missing more than I have scored. Van der Vaart and Defoe being the culprets
 
im bolton and i havnt picked my first second or third choice player to take the pens but someone who i just felt id stick there to give him some goals and so far 4/4 scored? but ive seen two pens againsted me smashed way wide :\ not to sure what to think about this one really.
 
I hardly have miss PK's. I think the most I ever had was 2 in a season. Now a shootout is either I hit everything or miss everything, but that is a different story
 
Jak 16 - Thats realistic to be fair ;)

I have Messi on PK's and he has scored 5 out of 5, Xavi has 2 in 2, but i started with Villa who missed 3 out of 4, despite being the best suited to the role.
 
1 season I have 3 out of 10 penalties scored but the other season I have 11 out of 12 scored........really annoying.
