way too many missed penalties

in my 3rd season on my man united game and i'm yet to win a pen shootout lost 4 or 5 despite having supposedly good penalty takers.
 
In my team usually player with lower penalty taking attribute (5-15) is more dependable than with 15 and above.. maybe age and experience could be important.. but in general way too many penalties are missed..
 
Kadlec missed 2 in one game the other day against scunny i went on to lose 1-0 :(

I have also noticed that every pen i have missed on FM2011 has gone wide rather than a keeper save... hmmm :S
 
i find there are way too many missed penalties too.

its february and my leeds team has missed 4 from 8 not to mind being knocked out of the league cup on penalties (missed 3).

my peanlty takers are all above 17 rating.

I'm second in the league and all the players are usually superb morale and the team is in very good form so can't really explain it.

missed 7 from 9 last season. and lost 2 penalty shootouts. its very annoying
 
Using Liverpool. missed 8 out of 13 penalties in total, all all were taken by top 3 best penalty taker in my team (min stat 15). Misses way too much.
 
just a quick pointer, penalty taking stat isn't the only thing you should look at.

Composure is very important, as well as finishing. Sometimes I'll let a guy without the highest PK taking stat take them if he has good composure and decent finishing.
 
I feel the game sometimes is a bit unfair, especially with penalties!! The only way i found not to miss many pens was to put my best pen taker instead of my best scorer (one has pen 18 and the other 17).

Agree. That's why I let Torres and Gerrard take most of the penalties. but 8 miss out of 13 a little too much I guess :(
 
This was supposed to be sorted but im getting lots but missing most of them. :S
 
Just had a penalty shoot out in the play off semi finals.
7 penaltys took for each teams, and my team (derby) won 2-1.
