Ally McCoist Leaves Ibrox...

After months of speculating about his future, Ally McCoist has decided to take his fate into his own hands, by stepping down as Rangers manager. McCoist who's been heavily involved in trying to find Rangers a new owner for the new season arriving was favourite to keep the job according to the bookmakers, if someone else finally took over the debt ridden Ibrox side, but it appears that McCoist took the decision after having a massive "fall out" with Craig Whyte.

McCoist was said to be upset with the lies that been told to him by Craig Whyte and dismissed Whyte's attitude as "disgusting". With the SFA already declared Craig Whyte "Unfit" to run a football club, it's clear that unless a bid comes in for Rangers, then Adminstration could be in charge for a long time - which means starting the season with another deduction of ten points.

When our reporters finally caught up with McCoist, he was slighty hesitant to speak but finally had this to say -

"I cant stand by and watch the destruction of our club happen anymore, it's too hard for me - for all of us. As rangers fans, that's including me myself, we deserve better than this, I tried everything I could - but at the end of the day, only a handful of men can be blamed for the situation this club is in and one of them should never of been allowed near this club"

These strong words from McCoist cleary showed his frustrations of just how bad a situation the Ibrox side are in at the moment, at this moment of time - there in administration, needing a new owner and facing another ten point deduction for the new season which would undoubtly mean they will be doing catch up for the rest of the season - what next for Rangers?

Administration Hire "Rookie Manager"

After only day's of Ally McCoist stepping down as Rangers manager, the administration have wasted no time in replacing him. "Rookie Manager" Muir has been put in charge for the season approaching. Muirs previous managerial job was at Northen Ireland side Linfied where he won mutiple league titles - althhough never did prove himself out of Northen Ireland.

With fans, hoping for a bigger name - it seems they will have to get all behing there new manager and hope he can gather the players and turn this season into a some what successful season as it still looks like Rangers will start with a ten point deduction as theres been no more progress with any bids for a takeover.

Muir Greets Loyal Fans..

Earlier this afternoon, Muir greeted thousand of Rangers fans, who where standing outside Ibrox Stadium chanting his name - a very nice touch from the fans, who appear to be uniting together during this hard time of there club. Fans where singing and dancing, you would of thought they had won another league title, not be in administration. A massive banner, "We Dont Do Walking Away" was the message Rangers fans was giving across to everyone - as they proved no matter what situation Rangers may be in, they will always follow.

"I would like to thank everyone for turning out today and thanks for all your support, it's very appreciated. In time's like these we all need to stick together and work on getting this club foward - it appears that we will begin the new season with a points deduction of ten points. Now, I understand that put's us on a massive disadvantage, but we've got to look realistically here. I know alot of you, will be wanting to challenge for the League Title and so do we, but with the current situation we are in plus that ten point deduction to begin with - if we qualify for Europe, then to us - that will be a successfull season. Thank-you."

It's clear that with the ten point deduction, the aim for the title challenge, is no longer the minimum aim for the Ibrox side, as they admit that qualifiying for europe would be a successful season. Not the greatest of news for Rangers fans, but at least for now, they still have a club and to them, that's all that matters.

Good start looking forward to this one :d am a big rangers fan :)

July Update....

The Daily Record is reporting that in a few weeks, Rangers may possibly have a buyer. It seems that a consortium are planning in making a bid for the troubled club, who's millions in debt. Although there is no mention of who exactly is planning on making the bid, it's still some good news for any Rangers fans out there.

As far as Muir's beggining at Rangers for his pre-season, it's been a decent start with Muir remaining unbeaten as a Rangers manager, heading into the start of the Premier League against Hearts.

A good couple of results for Muir aswell as not losing either, sets them up for the Premier League. Although with the ten point deduction, there going to have to get wins on the board as quickly as possible to make sure, they've got a chance for qualifying for Europe next season, but right now it's looking slightly better for Rangers. A possible buyer, plus an unbeatebn pre-season. Could Rangers turn this season around?

Jimmy Russo Completes Rangers Takeover

After weeks of negotiations, the takeover bid from Jimmy Russo was finalised today - taking over Rangers Football Club from Craig Whyte. A massive sence of relief for Rangers fans, as there club is now out of administration aswell as they look to try and mend there financial structure.

Now, the rumours have it - that Muir, the man who the adminstrators put into replace Ally McCoist, may now be in danger of his losing his job as it is believed that Russo may want his own man to take Rangers foward. However, over the last couple of weeks, Rangers fans have gelled together and got behind Muir, which may help the Scotsman keep his job.

Transfer Deadline Day - Two New Faces At Ibrox

20fqk4g.jpg

If there was any doubt about Rangers finances - then this will put them to bed now as Muir has shocked the country by bringing in two new faces on deadline day. The first of his signings is ex-Real Madrid superstar Guti. A signing which is sure to excite Rangers fans, with his skill and qualities and ofcourse for a midfielder, he also liked to get on the scoresheet aswell. He may be 34, but that shouldn't hold anything against him, he's got vital experiance and still can take the ball for a spin, when he's in possession. Guti will do just fine in the Premier League and aswell, will be a vital player for Rangers european success aswell.

The second signing Muir has brought in, is ex Queens Park Rangers striker, Alessandro Pellicori. An italian who's also got plenty of experiance behind him, playing in may different leagues and also playing in Europe. The man's got a reputation for scoring goals, which is exactly what Muir needs at this time to save him relying on Naismith the full time. Pellicori isn't as old as Guti, at 30 - Pellicori could prove to have a few good seasons out of him still and could prove to be a vital assett to Rangers in there push for qualifying for Europe again this season.

Youth Facilities Upgraded

Today, the investment of Jimmy Russo paid off once again as our youth facilities have now improved after millions of pounds being invested. The advantages that this give's us as a club is potentially massive, giving us a change to focus more on our youths, our homegrown players and find our next start players, without having to go out and spend millions in transfer frees.

With the progress we're once again making as a club, this is just many of things that's looking good for our future. As work continues on the training facilites, which are also getting upgraded, things are looking that just better for our club - the work is due finished on 9.11.2011.
