OK, this is a quick idea I had on the way back from Nottingham today.

This would be a downloadable DB for everyone to play, where the club "FM-Base FC" has taken the recently bankrupted Ilkeston's place in the Blue Square North.

Only a handful of volunteers have come forward to play for the club, however, as a consortium, these players have a 70% stake in the club and have injected a collective budget of £2m into FM-Base FC.

These volunteers take up positions in the backroom staff, such as the Coaching and the Assistant's Job.


Also coming in is the newest batch of youngsters. These youth players had been recently released from bigger clubs, yet some, if not all, have shown talent in the pre-season training.


I am looking for ~22 people (18 youth players, 3 coaches and an assistant, maybe some scouts) to fill out the team. This would be truly a long game DB, for the community, by the community.

V1.1 Updates:

Older players have lower wages (won't go into admin)
All non-EU players have "Trained in England for 3 years" - No more work permit issues with Pro Contracts.
Added new forms into DB, as the 2nd year youth players (15/16 year olds)
Added Director Of Football
Changed Formation date to 2006, allowing for FA Cup football.

Hopefuly the manager gives me control over the youth and reserves. I picked my attributes to try develop the players the best i can. :)

Danny, can you make sure i have the club as a favourite to make sure i dont move away?
