Arsene Wenger showing his true energy and charisma, despite his old age.
He’ll be best remembered for his Invincibles side of 2002, and the way he has turned Arsenal into a title challenging side.
He started off his career at French side Monaco, establishing his credentials with wins in both Ligue 1 and Coupe de France.
Many floral tributes have already been laid at the Emirates and Arsenal have said they will be hosting an Arsene Wenger Memorial Match.
Chelsea, West Ham, Bolton, Fulham, Blackpool and more all had their players and staff hold a minute’s silence, along with Arsenal.
Rumours of Wenger’s illness have been abundant, and word came out of Wenger’s illness just one month ago.
Wenger will always be remembered as a great of the modern game, and died doing what he loved.
Not only was Wenger a great manager, but “a loving father and a genuinely good guy” says assistant Pat Rice. Wenger spoke 6 languages, has a master’s degree in Economics, alongside being known as a great manager and even has an asteroid named after him.
The man, the legend: Arsene Wenger.
Note: Please comment, I’d really appreciate it, I’m going to be putting a lot of effort into this one, so it’s always nice to get something in return.
I’ll be playing on StuW’s End of Season Update with one or two changes. These changes are not major, I haven’t changed any of the players or anything to do with the players, or the club.
And lastly, thanks to Dec and andymcg44 for the brilliant graphics, cheers to Nathan for the quality sig and thanks to Man v.1 for cropping me some faces for this story.
