Cracking story mate, think you may have paid a bit over the odds for the keeper though, for that price you could have probably got Adler or someone of similar standard :S

As an Arsenal fan I'm enjoying this bud. The death of Arsene was a controversial method but you've used it to great effect and I think it is actually engaging people into the story. The Wenger Foundation is also a great quirk, but I assume it doesn't necessarily mean you've got extra cash or anything? The Golden Gunners generation is exciting, looking forward to seeing them progress!!

I did have a good search for keepers, £26m for Lloris, £24.5m for Adler, £23m for Neuer, £29m for Frey were all the asking prices. They even wanted £22m for Asenjo!

I'll probably get an update done this morning of the first three league matches.

Dramatic start :P

Benaglio is a good keeper but Victor from Gremio is better and 5 mil cheaper.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

You do realise it is Benaglio not Barzaglio :P

Good luck anyway, love Arsenal stories.

Graham perplexed over first three games

Arsenal Gaffer George Graham has voiced his confusion over his side's lack of consistency. In the three league matches left in August, Graham's men managed a win and two draws, which left Graham undefeated as Arsenal boss, but also meant his side hovered in 7th place of the Premier League.

Below, we've got a small review of each game along with a few words from Graham.

Arsenal 3 - 2 Liverpool

What a game this one was. It could easily have been another 4-4 thriller had there not been the clearance of the line for each team. Torres ran riot today, bagging two goals for his side; but van Persie came back with two of his own, both set up by Fabregas, who also grabbed one for himself.

"I think that we really need to learn how to deal with top quality strikers, such as Fernando. If we're to acheive our long-term goal of winning the Premiership or the Champions League, we're going to have to restrict them. Apart from that I was delighted; Cesc had a phenomenal game."

Blackpool 1 -1 Arsenal

Who would've thought that after conquering Liverpool, the Gunners would go on to draw to Blackpool? Who would've thought that after 15 minutes, Ibrahim Sonko would put Blackpool ahead? Well, that's what happened and Graham didn't look too happy with his team's performance from the dugout.

"We really were very poor today. We need to be winning these games. The fluidity was lost from our game, and the beautiful football we've been playing just went. We need to find that again, we really do."

Wigan 0 - 0 Arsenal

Urgh, what a boring game. Not even Fabregas or van Persie could kick some life into this one. Long balls galore, the lack of good passing football from Arsenal's game was apparent; not something you'd see under Wenger. Although, that's Cesc's third man of the match performance in three games. Well played Mr. Graham for keeping him.

"Cesc had another good game, but we were drab. Before the next game, the guys are going to be doing passing, passing and more passing, in training. I want our beautiful football back, and by george, I am going to get it".

After handing his extensive notes to us exclusively at SkySportsNews, we can announce Graham's player of the games. No question of who it is, really.

Fabregas keeping Gerrard tightly in his grasp in the game against Liverpool.

Next time, we've got a slightly different announcement for Arsenal, especially three games into the season, so make sure you keep following as that one'll be coming very soon. And remember to comment on your thoughts on both the league results and this article in general. :)

Bad luck with the draw mate, always a problem with Arsenal, consistency and complacency.. Great to see Cesc doing so well, how are you playing him?

Cesc's playing in the Centre of Midfield with an Advanced Playmaker (Attack) Role. Made him Playmaker and Target Man and allowing him as much creativity as he wants.

I bartered with Leverkusen and got them down to £16million for Adler, just takes a bit of negotiating but it was well worth it! Good luck with is anyway, mixed bag of opening results! Sorry if you've mentioned it and i've missed it, but are you playing 4-5-1?

What happened with the kits I made you?

Next update...

I'm playing a sort of 4-5-1 and 4-3-3 hybrid.

And I did barter with Leverkusen, they were having none of it.

Bad luck with Adler mate, i got him for £7.25m in my second season, after making an initial enquiry and being rejected, i kept monitoring him, but didn't do anything to unsettle him (A). Leverkusen offered him to me halfway through the second season, saying he was unhappy, so although i already had Joe Hart (paid £5m after they asked for £20m!) i made an offer and gave him a contract and now he and Hart battle it out for first choice. I think i have the Arsenal curse though, or maybe they just have nothing to do because they don't get great ratings...

Sorry to off topic! looking forward to next update mate.

Fair enough mate, i guess i was just lucky then! Sounds intriguing, are you playing one dm, 2 cm's and 2 am's with Van Persie up top on his own? Not considered selling that waste of space Bendtner? Birmingham paid me £10mill for him!

Depends.

I generally go for van Perise up top on his own with Joe Cole/Nasri and Arshavin in wide roles behind him. But sometimes I fancy Chamakh up front and van Persie goes to the right with Arshavin on the left.

Song or Diarra play in DM with Fabregas and Diaby in CM.

Haha, I just hope Benaglio can be decent and maybe Almunia can do well at Celtic?!

Alright story mate, but you could have told me you went searching around for kits and logos etc. I wouldn't have bothered had I known.

Great opening, a bit distasteful but certainly has caused a stir and making people read. Good luck maybe you could repeat the invincibles achievement in Wenger's honour ?
