West Ham United. What's wrong?

I'm playing second season with West Ham United. I've won Man United 2-0, Arsenal 2-1, in Europa League Monaco (1st in Ligue 1 today) 1-1, Sporting CP (3rd in Portugal) won 2-1. But when I play with outsiders, it's something wrong. I played with Portsmouth and Boro 1-1, lost to Everton (17 th in Premier) 0-1, and just in extra time won in cup vs. Boro. So, what I could do? How to motivate the players to play between weaker teams?

not much wrong every team goes through hard times just grind out a few wins with defensive tactics and switch back to your usual - thats what i do anyway
