I just started playing FM12 and I can't understand why am I losing so big.

Any help would be appreciated.

your players aren't good enough..and you're not playing them in their natural positions..i don't think that formation is particularly useful to be honest...there's no need for two defensive mids when you're Wigan..they're quite a decent side..not sure if Rodagella's best position is on the left wing as a winger..play him as an inside forward if you want to play him on the left wing. Try and look through some of the tactics on this site...and see if any of them suit you.

the positions are from the assistant reports, don't think they are wrong (well rodallega is a striker Trequistera or how ever i write it)
will check the tactics.

Also you're playing friendlies with a team that isn't fluid in a tactic, give them some time to gel and get used to the tactic and it will get better, plus you should retrain players if you want them to play positions they aren't natural in. While they are getting used to that tactic try playing something more conventional, nearly all players know how to play a 4-4-2 with some competency. If your team is not particularly creative or world class playing with less creativity and more rigidity can help keep everyone on the game plan.

Something simple that would help you - Substitutions. Don't use ten or eleven players for a full ninety minutes during your first pre-season fixtures and expect them to win matches comfortably. You should be looking to give everyone at least forty-five minutes per game for the first few friendlies and then slowly make it sixty or seventy, eventually leading upto a full ninety. Hope this helps.
