What approach suits my team / I need a Tactic

Personally, Vucinic can't be an inside forward wide Left because he is left footed so he's either a ST/AMC...

I would swap him and Hazard to make the player fit the role better, play wide football with short passing at a normal/slow tempo with the counter attack ticked and put your fluidity on rigid and keep the style as attacking...

^Try that, Borriello is an amazing header of the ball so I would throw in the possibility of your fullbacks hugging the touchline and crossing backpost and your wingers crossing mixed.

Vucinic at AMC- Set him running from deep often and play him attacking midfielder attack, not a playmaker but that guy is brilliant technically and can header a ball brilliantly you 100 pct want him in and around Borriello at all times.

Thank you for your tips, i will try that. What about Sahin and De rossi? Deeplyingplaymaker/ball winning midfielder?

here is my squad:

defense: corluka, baines, dawson, king, woodgate, kaboul, shawcross

midfield:modric, nuri sahin, huddlestone, sandro, rodwell, bale, lennon, krancjar, dos santos, vdv

striker: aguero, babacar, christian barthez, dzeko, defoe

wht tactics should i apply to get the best outta my team??????????

I am playing with Everton right now, this is my team but I need a good tactic for it

Joe Hart

Diego Renan - Phil Jones - Mussachio - Baines

Fellani

Arteta - Douglas Costa (or Cahil)

Alexis Sanchez ------------------------------------- Eden Hazard
Lisandro Lopez

The problem is that I dont have the right tactic for it, so if anyone have a suggestion post it plzz :)
Thanks

Hi

I'm not very good with tactics so would appreciate some help. Currently in my first season with Barnet and I have no idea what to do with my team. I'm 24th in the league and would like to avoid relegation if I can, but my tactic just doesn't work. I've played 7 lost 6, usually only by 1 or 2 goals, but have low possession and pass completion in every game, even though I'm trying to play possession football. I also on create 4 or 5 chances every game but the other team usually create around 20.

These are the team instructions and formations. My player roles are:

***- LB - FB Defend
Miquel- CB- Limited Def. Defend
Devera- CB- Central Def. Defend
Parkes- RB- FB Defend
Marshall and Pool- Wingers Attack
Mahoto- Ball Winning- Defend
Byrne- Advanced PM Support
Sampson- Poacher
Kabba- Target Man

I just want to know what I can do to start getting results by creating more chances and having more possession. I realise I'm not going to start beating everyone seeing as I've just been promoted but I though I can do better than this.

Thanks. I'll upload my tactic as well.

I am playing as Napoli and this is my main squad. I made a few big signings this season and need a new formation. I have played to league matches and won one and lost one. This is poor as I won the league losing only 1 game last season. I need a new formation to fit my players.

The screenshot above is of my main players as i couldnt fit the whole side in. Jose Sosa is the only main player not in the screenshot but he wouldnt be starting.

So could someone please recomend a tactic to me?

I just want to know, which tactic is best to use. Getting frustrated with FM 11.3 and struggling to make and download a worthy tactic. Also anyone got a league which they recommend. Usually just play in England, any countries which are enjoyable?

i need tactic to ac milan .. 11.3 patch no transfers .. thanks

Have a look at these 4 tactics. One Standard, one more cautious and one more overloading attacking...and... one Counter version that is to be used only when you do want to hit the opponent on the break after they have pushed up their fullbacks high. If they sit deep with their defence, it wont work.

Its a 4231 using.....

Normal fullbacks and DCs
- If you decide to use fullbacks that like to "get forward when ever possible, its better that they unlearn it.

Central Mids
- Hardworking and rather limited

Wingers
- I prefer left foot on left and right on right when we have a player in the AMC spot. In the Standard Version, they huge the touchline with the ball wide play) and they have a free role, meaning that they will get inside the area without the ball

AMC
- Sits deep and is used in the transition phase. If he likes to get inside the area, he will do so from deep

FC
- Any really good FC that does not try to shot at goal directly as he gets the ball. As always,

The versions

As this is a small set tweaked for a top team, don't be afraid to use the more Defensive version away to the top 8 teams. After all, Milan and other top teams play cautious away and this version is made so that its not overly defensive but instead just cautious.
As written above, the Counter version is an approach to be used when you actually see that the opponent pushes up their fullbacks high, them making runs from deep ahead oft he ball or into space.

Hey, I started playin with Benfica and currently it's the first season. That goals galore tactic I'm using works great in Portugal, because there are quite small teams, but I can't seem to get it right in Europe and against the big guys.

Got any ideas?

Cheers

thank you very much , your tactic works well , but only one problem : ibrahimovic sucks , 3 games 0 goals .. 6.30 rating

Actually, Ibra needs to be praised and when he finds the goal, he will continue scoring. He might need time to adjust though. Here is some stats in my save using this set

My playing style is;

Philosophy: Rigid
Strategy: Control
Passing Style: Shorter
Creative Free: More Disciplined
Closing Down: Press More
Tackling: Default
Marking: Man Marking
Crossing: Drill Crosses
Roaming: Stick to Position

My question is what defensive line, tempo and width would best suit this style? The style overall works very well but I am conceding a lot of goals to which I believe the three are responsible. Also is man marking best for a controlling, shorter passing game or am I right to use man marking as I am playing rigidly, thanks!

Hi, I finished my first season with Stevenage in 5th place and I play close to exactly the same tactic as you. I would recommend increasing your pressing to 'press more' on closing down. Otherwise my tactics are identical. As for advanced tactics, my defensive line is the same as yours but I also had normal tempo and width. Slow tempo IMO doesn't work with league one because the passers aren't the best so it's easier to play possessive football if you're playing at a high tempo and applying pressure. Also I only ever play a target man if there's a lone striker. Kabba has the stats of a poacher with decent acceleration, pace and strength so make Sampson an advanced forward. :)

can anyone tell me what is the best position and role of sergio ageuro?????????????????????

Hi, I am playing man u, and I got sneijder and kaka for the team. I like to play possession football and what roles should I play for these two players? Thanks

That's right boys !!

I present, the new sub forum of the Tactic section

Tired and frustrated of your cries for help not being answered in the "In need a tactic thread", another poster always, making your request invisible?

Angry with me for closing down your ever so in depth thread ?

Not happy about getting any ?

Well, here it is, The new sub forum that will replace the previously mention sticky

What Tactic Should I Play

Here is a quote from the posting rules in the sub forum

Welcome to the new subforum of the Tactic section
!!

In here, you may start threads on the following subjects ( or threads reminding of these ;d )

Asking to be spoon fed with a tactic

- " I need a tactic for Napoli first season, using an updated database. I have bought Hazard and want to use 2 forwards. Here is a screenshot of my team ( as not all users actually know the transfers made in the updated database). Cheers and thanks for your help

Asking users to help you to tweak your tactics

- " I am currently using a 4411, Fluid, Control, playing as Liverpool. Whilst I have no problem with beating the likes of Man u or Arsenal, I always seem to loose when playing lesser teams like Wigan away or even Blackpool at home. Anyway, here are some screens of my formation, the team settings along with the mentality and closing down settings of my team ( as I know that not all user have played fluid-control in a 4411)

Asking how to setup a tactic in general for your team

I am a newbie to FM and don't know how to setup my team. Can you give me some pointers. As you can imagine, I will not be able to use the shouts( until learning them) so I just need some basic pointers and then I will carry on myself as I like the idea of exploring the new game I just bought. I am playing with my favorite team X. here is a screenshot of the players. I would like to play a 4231 as its my favourite formation in real life.. Cheers

Remember that the more relevant information you provide, the better the help you will get
