What do I have to do to sell this guy?

So I've been trying to buy Pogba for ages now, but he never wants to join and Juve never want to sell. So in the editor I changed it slightly so he has a preference to play in the PL (i'm at Chelsea) and offered 40 mil but they still rejected. I've offered 120m pounds but still they refuse to even negotiate. I mean how unrealistic is that? It doesn't matter how much a team wants to keep a player they would always accept that kind of money. It almost feels like I have 0% chance of signing him. My only hope is just arranging a transfer on the editor but I don't really wanna do that.
Has this ever happened to you with a player as it happens regularly with me?
 
Absolutely, always with Baines. Everton want 77 million for him and in real life you could probably get Ronaldo cheaper, lol.

In simple terms, why would Juventus sell one of their best players and one of the best midfielders in the game? They don't need the money and he's happy to stay. It's the same as wanting to buy Messi.
 
well it is kind of realistic . i mean pogba will be one of the best players in the world and Juventus know that and just like WJ said

they don't need money so i don't think that you have a chance to buy him

and since that you said that he want to stay at the club make it nearly impossible to make the deal

and yeah it happen to me too sometimes but with players and clubs less reputed so the solution in this situations is declare your

interest about him in the media so when he knew he'll make pression on his club to sell him to you ( Often when my club is more

reputed than his )

but in your situation i think that their is NO chance that you can have him now ( maybe 5 season later if juventus have a

financial crisis then they will be forced to sell him ) :p

But IRL if someone offered 120m for him then they would at least negotiate.
 
Just like Real Madrid wouldn't allow Ancelotti to spend 80m? Or Barcelona 75...? Not to mention i've sold half my team to get these funds and CM is my only real weakness.

You brought up real life. In real life it's £40m more than the current world record. It wouldn't be allowed.

Juventus do not want to sell. I gave you two clues in the first reply. They don't need the money and Pogba is happy to stay. If either of those situations change, you'd be able to buy him.

Anyway, he's not the only CM in the world. Find another target.

Ok, so I suppose you know the limitations of every single professional football clubs' transfer budget... You don't seem to be getting the hint. I know Juventus "may not want to sell" but if an offer came in a 120 million they would IRL. Anyone would for that money. Like you said "he's not the only CM in the world". Look at United with Ronaldo... did they need to sell? Monaco with Rodriguez certainly don't need the money. Even Nedved said IRL the other day that if a big offer came in for Pogba or Vidal they'd have to consider. Whereas in-game they're not even negotiating which is unrealstic.
I know I can find another target but that is not my point at all. I'm saying he is impossible to buy or get Juve to sell.

Lol. Bad, bad examples. Of course United didn't want to sell. They managed to delay it for a season, but Ronaldo wanted to play for a club like Real. United were left with no choice but to let him go. Same with Bale. Same (probably) with Rodriguez too.

Nedved said that, because IRL Juventus need money this season. They aren't in the best of financial states at the moment. Last season, they were fine and that is the case in FM. Not sure where you are in your save, but after a season of CL football in FM, they'd still be fine. More than. It's a little easier to make money in FM than IRL.

Bad examples? The Ronaldo situation is exactly the same with Pogba in my save so is actually the perfect example. At a club who doesn't need to sell. Wants to play in another league and gets a mega offer but the game doesn't replicate the common sense like IRL that the club would accept that kind of offer. Never mentioned Bale so not sure what your on about there. Rodriquez exactly the same as Ronaldo.
I'm not sure if you work for Forbes magazine to estimate the enclosed figures of Juventus' business state but poor financial problems or not they would always accept a bid of 120 million.

Okay, this is my last attempt. I'll ask you this. In your game: Is Pogba unhappy? Is he trying to force a move at all? Is there anything that is forcing Juventus to sell?

No, he is interested in the move but not forcing the transfer. However, the thing that should be forcing Juventus to sell is the 120m that they could be receiving which could buy them a whole team. This is my point all along. Now that it is harder for a player to become transfer listed there are some players impossible to buy. IRL its probably only Messi and Ronaldo who are impossible. The difference in my case though is that Pogba is valued at 12m and i'm offering 100x his value.

I can never buy him, but man city manage to buy him for £26 every new save.... so confusing

That is exactly my point. There is no reason to sell. They don't need money, because after a season in FM they have enough. He's not unhappy and isn't trying to get transferred so he's not going to move either. Juventus are also a top tier team. Unless any of those 3 things changes, you could offer whatever you want, Juventus will reject. Change one of those two situations and they'll negotiate. This IS how it works in FM and until you accept it, I have to assume you're deliberately being thick and as I said, I'm out.

I think its you that is being thick as you still don't get my point. I get that they don't need to sell him. I've told you this several times. I'm not asking for your you to enlighten me on the game with your words of wisdom. I know how it works. I get it, its impossible to sign him. But what i'm saying is it shouldn't be. No team IRL would ever reject that kind of offer and I don't care for your expertise in every club's transfer policy, the game is unrealstic in that sense. And the fact that you STILL don't get what i'm trying to say proves that you are well and truly deluded and beyond help. But no doubt you'll reply and put all your knowledge of FM to good use even though it has nothing to do with what i'm saying. Please, stay out. For the good of your mental capacity. Go have a lye down and a cuppa. You'll feel better ;)
