What does having a negative potential ability do?

im not sure on the exact PA from it but its a random PA e.g. -10 PA is 180-200 PA, it changes at the start of every game, hope this helps

-1 is rubbish potential, -10 means a player can become a world class guy its just a way for SI to not have to bother setting each individual persons potential i think

so what if the current ability is low also. Does that mean that the player will reach world class potential, or won't they develop fast enough?

if they have like 60 ability but -9 potential, they just need some good coaching and will become a good player, staying at smaller teams wont help them too much i dont think, get good coaches on em and they should develop well, even with low ability, as long as the potential is there?

If the 'Current Ability' is Low, then the player will not be good. Whereas if the 'Current Ability' is High, they are a better player.

But the 'Current Ability' could be low and the player could still b turn out world class, if they have a High 'Potential Ability'
