He has suddenly stopped scoring, and has become an assist machine. I am not complaining but I'd prefer him to be Scoring. I have changed his role from target man, to complete forward, to poacher, and then back to target man. All roles got me similar results but I feel target man suits him the best. After that experiment failed, I decided to make him learn to place his shots so we will see no that goes. The only other thing I can think of is I changed my 4-3-3 to have two inside forwards. Any suggestions?

What's your current formation? Maybe he doesn't have someone the create goals for him.

Are you playing with Napoli? I'm in my first season with them and I play 4-3-3 with two inside forwards (attack). Hamsik who is the main assist man for me in central midfield, advanced playmaker (support). I have Cavani up front playing him as an advanced forward.

Has worked out pretty well for me so far, in the league Cavani has scored 9 in 11 games and he has an average rating of 7.93. In all competitions he has 12 goals in 16 matches and an average rating of 7.76.

My formation is a 4-3-3. I use twoinside forwards, a target man for my forwards. My midfield is an advanced playmaker support center mid and a defensive mid. Then I use a stopper cover system for my defense. It's not my formation because I used the same formation last year and he led the league in goals. The only thing I have changed is my wingers too inside forwards, and after doing this, Elia and menez boh are leading the league in goals, and cavani has more assists than goals. I think this is my problem, but I want my inside forwards too score as well as cavani.

I had a Napoli save a little while back and he wasnt scoring too many I was playing with an inside forward (lavezzi ) and a winger . When Lavezzi got injured I switched to two wingers and he suddenly started banging them in . I do think he is a better Target man than Poacher.

Advanced forward, run with ball/from deep - often through balls often no free role - enjoy. 100 goals in two seasons for me

I'm not sure playing lone striker as Target Man with two IF's is a best idea. Most of the time they'll look to cut inside rather then cross (unless you have good offensive full/wingbacks and its wholle different story) , he'll get less service and be a bit isolated. I'll look for ways to either make him drop deeper or hold up the ball when he does get it for when cavalry arrives.
