Thinking about starting a new long term save with FC United. What's the best tactic people have used for lower league teams on 14.3.1?

so helpfull......

Well it is helpful. I assume Igneos doesn't know FC United's side (hence his response) so it is best for the OP to look at his squad and decide from there. Plenty of people just download "Jose Mourinho master invincible tactic" when it doesn't suit their team so it doesn't work for them resulting in being sacked which results so ******** on forums at how the game is broken.

4-4-2, and very simple shouts is pretty much the way to go with LLM. Don't overcomplicate it.

I don't think there is any good tactic for **** teams on 14.3. I've tried almost all of them and couldn't find anything good enough, some start really well and than suck, other are bad from the start but get better, but in the end they all suck, the computer learns or whatever, the engine is too advanced maybe, or it's just a conspiracy, who the **** knows, really.

FM Base used to be the best place to come when you needed anything regarding FM issues. Now all you get is a nasty or smart response if you know less then the guy giving the so called answer. It seems the elite managers have no time for anyone who wants to play the game just for fun. Not everyone wants to spend days just working out a tactic for it to fail. Please don't preach to me saying this is the way the game is meant to be played. Please read elite managers and so called experts, SOME PEOPLE LIKE PLUG IN AND PLAY TACTICS. Get over it and if you can't answer the guys question, move on and forget it and no more, ' you must play my way ' answers.

It was actually a piece of good advice. I have no intention of preaching, it's just the way the game works. You can't play this for fun. I mean, you can try, but you will prolly rage quit very soon as you wont enjoy wining. Not a single tactic you can download here fits more then than one team. And even the team that it does fit need to change tactics as the players get suspended or injured. It's a simulation, and you will be punished by match engine for every error you make. To consistently keep wining, you must learn. Both the game and football itself. That is why I don't post results screenies when I post tactics. They don't have anything to do with how good the tactic is. My right winger got injured in 2nd game, and instead i had to use a considerably weaker inside forward type of player. I made the necessary alterations and won the match, but you, or anyone who didn't would prolly lose and say my tactic sucks. The difference between wining and losing can be as simple as distrubute do defenders player instruction. Just one single small instruction. Not to mention other aspects like player motivation, morale, form, your own repution and a bunch of others. This sim is simply a big number cruncher, and the more you know about football and the more effort you put into the game will make a difference between wining and losing. sure, I can make a tactic that will work for fc united, but when one of the players I relied my tactic upon gets injured, it's useless. Therefore, my advice was on the spot.

Igneos is correct, it really depends on the squad you have, no point in directing you to a passing game formation for LL teams, if you dont have the players to implement it, Have a look at your squad/buys and let us know what sort of system you are looking for, for that team. Long ball, target man, counter etc? be much easier to point you in the right direction.

Igneos i will be as brief as i can.

Right full back, quick but 12 in positioning marking tackling (21 though with good potensial). Another one the same.

Left full back good attack attributes, good tackling, bad positioning and marking. Another one, descent in defence, bad in attack.

DCs good positioning marking, tackling etc, mediocre (10) decisions, concentration, quickness.

4 DMs in squad with descent defensive atts (pos, mark, tackle), descent (12-13) passing and technique and quick (13-14). Bad (10) composure, decisions, creativity and strength (for position, 12).

4 quick wingers. Good pace, acc, dribbling, crossing. Bad finishing. One of them best stats in all those, but 10/10 workrate/teamwork

Two typical Treqs, 14 passing technique, creativity.

2 strikers, both descent technically, both mediocre (13) finishers, one explosive, one mid-quick (13 pace, 11 agility and accelaration) but hard worker and strong.

---------------------Generally

Mediocre (12) consistency to most of my players, half of them good in handling pressure (13-14)

Very good (14) aggression, determination, bravery, accelaration, pace, agility, fitness, stamina, work, teamwork

Descent anticipation (12)

Bad (10) composure, conentration, decesions.

Tactic most suitable, either a 4-2DM-2MRL-1-1 or 4231, or 41221.

Do you have any suggestions/advice for me, for one tactic were i will be favorite (in my league lets say my squad has 120-130 current ability and all others exept two has 80-100) and one for when i am underdog in Champions/Europa League?

PS. I had huge success with your 4-1-2 (BWMs)-2-1 tactic. The one with the "attack from right flank".
Such work on this tactic, doing exactly what suppose to, an example of what a good tactician could make with the ME, and a great written analysis on it.

Here you go. Change the striker role to adv forward when the strong hard working one gets injured.

My advice if you want to have fun is: go back to patch 14.1.4, use the 3-4-2-1 tactic in this thread http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/shar...922-3-4-2-1-no-striker-tactic-ccc-s-gold.html, this one to be more precise 3-4-2-1-0 romian (Veez Concept).tac and you'll win everything, it's an engine breaker, I won everything with wba in my first season, my amc, sessenong or what the **** his name is, scored over 60 goals, the tactic is simply OP, enjoy.

How do you do this? Is it even possible to go back to 14.1.4?

Yes, you can, you just need the old patch, you can find it on google, and then delete the new files created by patch 14.3.0, I can't give you more details because I'm not allowed.

From my experience of Lower League management it is all about simplicity, you have to be a poo polisher like Tony Pulis. Keeping the squad morale up and keeping players fit are key.

Jassar's underdog tactic has worked a treat for my Coventry save! The away version seems to work better than the home version.
