Tactics which crowd the midfield, even to the point of using shadow strikers over actual strikers are extremely successful in this FM(eg. 6-1-2-1-0 counter, various 4-3-3-0 tactics). Try playing the game with a defensive mindset and formation(eg. jassar's MM Away), it's much easier to go scoreless with finishing being typically lacklustre, you want your front players to pounce unexpectedly and take advantage of an out-of-position, surprised goalkeeper. If you want to attack attack, tall strikers + crosses are overpowered, so try take advantage of crossing the ball often. The shadow striker and false 9 in particular, is overpowered, while the default(eg. no player instructions) IF(A) being the most underwhelming role. Try to get most of individual instructions, this makes it easier to find space or take more advantages of the tactic.
